Overview

Summit Half Dome with an experienced wilderness guide. We'll help you reach the top!

You will:
• Climb the Half Dome cables to reach the jaw-dropping summit!
• Hike the famous Mist Trail and John Muir Trail.
• See the towering Vernal and Nevada Falls.

This is Yosemite's most famous and challenging hike. You may be surprised at the steepness of the Half Dome cables, but you'll have your fellow hikers' support and an experienced guide who will help you reach the top safely and confidently.

You'll end the day with pride at having completed an unforgettable challenge, and some new friends!

• Half Dome permit
• Yosemite entrance reservations

(17 miles roundtrip, very strenuous)

* In the rare event of rain, Half Dome will be unsafe to climb. We may reroute to a safer destination.
* This trip is very physically demanding. You must be able to hike 17 miles and 5,200 feet of elevation gain in one day.

What To Expect

Mist Trail

Hike up stone steps carved into a dramatic canyon. This is one of the world's most famous hikes!

Vernal Fall

Hike up right alongside the roaring Vernal Fall. When the water is high, it will crash against the rocks and spray out at you. Getting drenched is one of the most fun parts!

Half Dome

This is your big moment. Your guide will show you how to grab onto a metal cable and pull yourself up a very steep incline. It's thrilling, beautiful, and really fun!

John Muir Trail

You'll return on the historic John Muir Trail. It's fun to see backpackers just starting out on their 211 mile journey across the Sierra Nevadas!
