Savannah’s Historic District encompasses more than 20 city squares laid out in a distinctive grid pattern by General James E. Oglethorpe, founder of the British Colony of Georgia in 1733. The 90 minute adventure starts from your Historic District Hotel or the city’s Visitors Center located at 301 Martin Luther King Blvd and tells the colorful uninterrupted story of the city’s past.
