After the French Quarter segment, we leave to drive throughout the city and visit the park, where the process of granulating sugar was invented.

As the first suburb of the city, we describe the development of t his area and the major role it played in the Placage system of matchmaking and slavery.

We visit both Tulane and Loyola Universities and outline the 8 universities in town and their contributions to the development of New Orleans.

After a tour of St. Charles Avenue, we visit the Garden District before ending in the Central Business DIstrict.
