What To Expect

Makapu'u Point Lighthouse Trail

Visit the beautiful Makapu u Lookout point with stunning views of the ocean and windward coastline. Travelers will have the option to hike up the short lighthouse trail to see gorgeous rocky cliffs and views of Honolulu. The trail is paved and moderately easy. After hiking the trail and taking in the views, we will get back in the car to continue our journey!

Lanikai Beach

Visit a beautiful white sand beach on Oahu's Windward Coast. Relax with a picnic while taking in clear blue waters and striking island peaks rising up out of the ocean. Travelers will have the option to swim and snorkel here if they choose. Snorkeling equipment is provided. After spending some time on the beach, we will continue driving toward the lovely North Shore!

Dole Plantation

See the historic Dole pineapple plantation where at one point most of the world s pineapples were produced. Stop by a delicious fruit stand and stroll through the fields while learning the history of one of the state's most important crops. Travelers will have time to explore the Dole plantation and shop for snacks and souvenirs before continuing on our way to the North Shore.

Waimea Valley

Waimea Valley is one of Oahu's most striking botanical gardens. Stroll along the path while taking in some of the most magnificent trees you will ever see until you reach Waimea Falls, where you can take a refreshing swim. (Admission to the falls is not included in the tour and is $25 for out of state residents. Discounts are available for children, students and seniors.) ** For those travelers who wish not to visit the falls, we can go to Sharks Cove instead as an optional extra. Sharks Cove is a beautiful marine preserve on the North Shore. It's an excellent spot for swimming, snorkeling and watching the waves. This attraction is free.

Turtle Bay Beach

Turtle Beach is famous on Oahu's North Shore for basking sea turtles. We will stop here to walk along the beach, take photos and gaze at the beautiful turtles. A turtle sighting is not guaranteed, but we nearly always see at least one or two! Marine biologist volunteers are also often stationed at the beach to share information about the beautiful creatures.

Haleiwa

We will stop to eat in Haleiwa, a quaint, laid-back surfing village on Oahu s North Shore. Here you will find world famous food trucks, such as Giovanni's Shrimp Truck, Khan & Phim Thai Food Truck and Wicked HI Pizza. Travelers will have the option to choose where they'd like to eat and spend some time relaxing before we get back in the car for the return trip to Waikiki.
