What To Expect

Anchorage

Pickup in Downtown Anchorage. Enjoy a ride in the local guide's Subaru Forester. The ride to the trailhead will be between 10-35 minutes, depending on pickup location.

Flattop Mountain

Enjoy sweeping vistas of Anchorage, Knik Arm, and the Chugach Mountains. On clear days, catch a glimpse of Denali. Encounter diverse alpine flora, fauna like moose and marmots, and unique geological formations. The Sunnyside Trail, a 3-mile round trip with 1,350 feet elevation gain, offers a well-marked path suitable for varying skill levels. Despite its moderate to difficult rating, the panoramic views make it worthwhile.
