Here, you’ll watch expert torcedores (cigar rollers) at work—crafting cigars entirely by hand, just as it’s been done in Cuba for generations. You’ll learn about each step of the cigar-making process: from the selection of tobacco leaves, to rolling, binding, and finishing techniques. The artisans may share stories about their craft, the history of cigar culture in Cuba, and how this tradition was preserved and brought to Miami’s Little Havana. We’ll pause at the Bay of Pigs Monument, a solemn and powerful tribute to the Cuban exiles who fought in the 1961 Bay of Pigs invasion in an attempt to liberate Cuba from Fidel Castro’s regime. This monument honors the bravery, sacrifice, and enduring hope of those who risked everything for freedom. We’ll step into the legendary Ball & Chain, one of Little Havana’s most iconic venues—where history, music, and nightlife all come together under one vibrant roof. Originally opened in the 1930s, this historic bar and music club once hosted jazz greats like Billie Holiday, Chet Baker, and Count Basie, and today it continues to pulse with live Cuban rhythms and infectious energy. During our visit, guests will: • Soak in the historic atmosphere of this beautifully restored venue, complete with vintage decor and tropical charm • Enjoy live Cuban music or salsa, often playing in the lively outdoor patio or inside the main stage area • Hear the story of Ball & Chain’s wild past—from its jazz-era glory days to its revival as a cultural hotspot • Optionally sip a classic Cuban cocktail, like a mojito or daiquiri, made with flair by expert bartenders (drinks not included unless part of tour)
