Overview
On this tour we visit the DuSable Museum of African American History. We visit the museum for 45 minutes. This tour visits the homes of Louis Farrakhan, the former home of Elijah Muhammad and the former home of Muhammad Ali. We will pass by the home the 44th President of the Unites States, Barack Obama as well as the home of Reverend Jessie Jackson. We provide insight on how African Americans have made a huge impact on Chicago as well as the rails, how during the Great Migration African Americans traveled to Chicago. Come tour with us!

What To Expect

Bronzeville
A tour of predominantly African American Chicago. We visit historic and cultural rich Bronzeville. Home of the Pilgrim Baptist Church, the birthplace of gospel music. As we tour through Bronzeville we give a historical prospect of the area and why it’s called Bronzeville. The color bronze, does that give you a hint? We stop by Elijah Muhammad house in Hyde Park, the man who founded America’s black Muslim movement in America. We will also see the home of the sometimes controversial Louis Farrakhan. We then travel to Muhammad Ali’s former residence and the Reverend Jesse Jackson’s Operation Push national headquarters.

Hyde Park
We will see the home of the 44th President of the United States, Barack Obama. We stop and visit an African American Museum along with the home of Kanye West, Jennifer Hudson, and more! We tour the black community and end the tour at a soul food restaurant. It will be exciting! After this tour, you will know tons about the heritage of Chicago.

South Shore
Travelers will see and learn about Chicago's Lake Fronts and parks as well as see Kanye West's childhood home.
